Adams County police make 37 drug arrests

When people sell illegal drugs in Pennsylvania, they’re typically part of a larger network. For this reason, when the authorities discover these drug operations, they able to make several arrests. To avoid serious penalties, people who are facing drug charges must have excellent drug crime defense.

Authorities in Adams County worked for a year to investigate a drug-selling operation that involved almost 40 people. The people were allegedly distributing cocaine, heroin, and other illegal drugs. It is unknown how long the group had been involved in such activities, or if law enforcement arrested all of the people who were connected to the operation. The majority of the people arrested are between 20 and 35 years old. It is possible that some of the people involved in the drug operation helped to identify other people who were involved.

At least one of the people involved allegedly showed some resistance to law enforcement during the arrest. Ultimately, one of the officers fired at shot at a man because he was violent toward law enforcement; fortunately, the man survived the incident, but he is now facing charges related to his alleged violence.

Through a plea bargain, some of the people may be able to reduce their sentences if they provide useful information about the drug operation. It is unknown whether some of the people who are facing serious drug charges have sought the help of an attorney.

Drug trafficking is a serious crime that comes with severe punishment, including prison sentences. For this reason, people who have been accused of drug crimes may want to work with an attorney.
