Attorney Robert T. Szostak, Esquire to Speak at a Program Entitled “Anatomy of a Lawsuit” Sponsored by Montgomery County Medical Society, Montgomery Bar Association, Abington Memorial Hospital, and Cassatt RRG
Robert T. Szostak, Esquire has been asked to speak at a medical legal program on October 12, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Abington Memorial Hospital, Lenfest Pavillion, Frobese Auditorium, 1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA.
The program agenda will cover legal evaluation of a medical professional liability case, medical records in litigation, what to do when sued and mock court testimony. Mr. Szostak will discuss the legal evaluation of a case and the impact of reform measures on medical malpractice litigation.
Mr. Szostak is a member of the law firm of Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford He practices in the area of complex civil litigation. For 25 years, he has represented victims of catastrophic injury and death. Mr. Szostak handles medical negligence, insurance bad faith, fraud, defamation, products liability, and other major personal injury cases involving motor vehicles, amusement parks, construction accidents, and premises liability. He has a remarkable track record which has distinguished him as one of Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers. He holds an “AVJ Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Szostak received his B.A. from Brown University and his law degree from the Widener University School of Law where he wrote for its Law Review. He was law clerk to Pennsylvania Superior Court President Judge Emeritus Stephen J. McEwen, Jr. Mr. Szostak is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and in the District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Szostak is Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Civil Litigation Section and a member of the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention. He is also a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association Trial Lawyers Section, Medical Legal Committee and Rules of Court Committee. Mr. Szostak often serves as faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and trial attorney associations in his practice areas. He has also been a featured lecturer at medical-oriented seminars, speaking on subjects such as hospital corporate liability, medical professional liability, and medical malpractice reforms.
