"Legally Speaking" on WNPV 1440 AM for July 2010

The July shows for WPNV AM 1440's "Legally Speaking," a radio talk show hosted by the lawyers of Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford ranged from discussions on privacy law to personal health and well-being to estate planning strategies.

Attorneys Matt Wilkov and John Filice were joined by legal intern Tom Phelan to discuss criminal expungements in Pennsylvania. The firm's criminal defense attorneys routinely handle clients' requests to expunge criminal charges (unproven or dismissed) as an aid to obtaining employment, housing and schooling. They also fielded other questions from community members.

Lawyer Bob Szostak hosted Dr. Kimberly Woundsma, chiropractor and owner of Woundsma Chiropractic to discuss personal health and well-being. They discussed the advances in medical technology that have changed the practice of chiropractic and the need for individuals to take control of their health.

Community members weighed in on privacy and consumer issues as lawyer Greg Gifford hosted legal intern Audra Price for a discussion on privacy laws. Greg and Audra discussed a case involving the probing and personal questions in certain employment applications and the Ninth Circuit's decision to forbid overly personal questions asked by employers. They also fielded questions from callers on checks, check stop-payments, check reissuing, as well as insurance billing.

In the last radio show of July, attorney Eric Wilenzik was joined by Marshall Brooks, of MassMutual Financial Group, to discuss insurance and asset protection, estate planning strategies and other investment issues.

Listen to "Legally Speaking" each week or stream podcasts from the show's archives.
