Law enforcement raid Wallingford home, arrest 3 for drug possession

Many young Pennsylvanians, especially those in larger cities, choose to share houses or apartments as a way to lower living expenses and build friendships. Under these conditions, it may be easy for some people to pick up habits, good or bad, from their roommates. Unfortunately, people who are addicted to illegal drugs may influence those around them. In some cases, they may find themselves in need of drug crime defense.

Three young adults who shared a house have been arrested for drug and gun possession charges. Law enforcement in Delaware County had suspected for several months that the residents might have been committing crimes inside their Wallingford house. After the authorities obtained a search warrant, they entered and searched the home while the occupants were sleeping. The three residents were reportedly cooperative with the police officers, and one of the residents even told them that there were guns and illegal drugs under his bed.

Their cooperation with the authorities may help the residents, all of whom are facing criminal drug charges, in court. Although the authorities found several firearms and evidence of drug use inside the house, along with the residents’ driver’s licenses, there is no evidence that any of the residents had any intention to sell or distribute the drugs illegally. It is unknown whether any of the residents have been arrested for drug possession or any other type of drug crime in the past.

Hopefully, the young people will seek treatment for their possible drug addictions. People who are struggling with drug abuse may also be facing serious charges for drug possession or drug cultivation. In these circumstances, it may be best to seek the help of an attorney.
