Philadelphia area truck accident leaves 1 dead

Many trucks haul enormous payloads at high speeds. This of course comes with serious risk. Brakes are under greater strain and parts of the vehicle are more likely to wear down. Truck drivers should therefore be held to a high standard of caution on Philadelphia roads.

With such weight, accidents have a greater chance of resulting in serious injuries or death. This was the case in a recent truck accident that left an 85-year-old man dead in Philadelphia. According to police, a cement mixer truck and a sedan collided at an intersection.

The 85-year-old was driving the sedan when the incident occurred. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Negligent driving can have devastating consequences for other road users. The law allows you to seek compensation in court if someone else’s negligence results in harm to you or in the death of a loved one.

Investigations into the recent truck accident are ongoing. The driver of the cement truck is reportedly working with the police as they try to get to the bottom of the matter. The truck driver was assessed by medical workers after the accident before he was allowed to go. Police asked anyone with information on the incident to step forward.

Witness accounts and police reports can provide crucial evidence in truck accident cases. Both truck drivers and their employers may be held liable after a truck accident is caused by negligence. Truckers and truck companies are held to high standards in order to avoid jeopardizing the safety of the public.
