Commercial trucking and bussing companies are supposed to inspect and maintain their vehicles, and operators of those vehicles are expected to keep driving records and take breaks to avoid driver fatigue.
A crash in a nearby state saw more than 30 people from a Pennsylvania summer camp taken to the hospital. The car accident involved four school buses carrying 9- and 10-year-old children from Camp Lindenmere in Pocono Township, Pennsylvania. Staff members from the camp were also on the buses and injured during the collision. The buses' occupants were on a field trip to an amusement park.
A collision near Rockwood, Pennsylvania, has left one person dead and more than 20 injured. According to reports, a school bus carrying at least 23 people -- mostly students -- and a tractor-trailer were involved in the crash. The truck accident killed the truck driver.
