2 Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident

An accident occurred on Sept. 15 around 3:55 p.m. in the town of West Nantmeal, Pennsylvania. Two people were taken to an area hospital after being injured in the one-car crash.

A local news source reported that the car accident happened when a Saturn sedan left the road while driving through a curve and collided with a tree stump near the intersection of Isabella Road and Stetson Drive. Both the driver and the passenger car were said to have been unconscious when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

The two individuals were trapped in the vehicle and could not be removed without the use of hydraulic tools. Medical helicopters were dispatched to the scene to take the injured people to Reading hospitals. The severity of their injuries was not reported by the news source. An investigation into the accident by the Pennsylvania State Police was ongoing as of Sept. 16.

People who have suffered injuries and property damage in automobile accidents may attempt to recover compensation for the harm done to them by filing personal injury lawsuits. If the passenger in a car that crashed believes that the driver’s negligence caused his or her wounds and damages, that person may choose to file suit against the driver. Some of the harms for which compensation may be awarded include property damage, medical bills, lost wages and other economic losses that stemmed from an accident. A personal injury attorney’s assistance might be beneficial to an accident victim as he or she attempts to calculate the total damage caused by an accident and an adequate level of compensation.
